Residence card offices in Belgium, town by town

Pick your town to see how its foreigners’ desk handles cards

Some towns ask you to book online, others want a phone call first, and a few receive visitors only on certain afternoons. Open your city to find out whether its office orders cards, hands them over or both, and what to bring along.

Apply in person by appointment, ideally well before your current card expires, and collect the new one yourself.

For a first card prepare proof of residence entitlement; for activation keep the mailed PIN/PUK letter. For replacement after loss or theft, you need police annex 12. For temporary renewal follow your individual conditions letter and ask the service for a copy if it is missing. Confirm which identity document and other evidence your category requires.
