Residence card offices in Belgium, town by town

Pick your town to see how its foreigners’ desk handles cards

Some towns ask you to book online, others want a phone call first, and a few receive visitors only on certain afternoons. Open your city to find out whether its office orders cards, hands them over or both, and what to bring along.

After your residence is approved, order the card by appointment and pick it up without booking once the PIN arrives.

Bring your present card, or a police loss certificate where applicable, and your passport or identity document. Normally no photo is needed; bring a compliant photo for a child under three or one unable to sit still independently. At collection bring the old card/replacement certificate and PIN letter. Collect within three months of the application or the card is destroyed. If you cannot attend, give fingerprints or sign for medical reasons, contact Migration about an exception and a medical certificate no more than one month old.
