Residence card offices in Belgium, town by town

Pick your town to see how its foreigners’ desk handles cards

Some towns ask you to book online, others want a phone call first, and a few receive visitors only on certain afternoons. Open your city to find out whether its office orders cards, hands them over or both, and what to bring along.

Both ordering and collecting your card need a personal visit by appointment, with about three weeks in between.

Prepare the photo specified by the city: 45 × 35 mm, compliant biometric portrait, light background and no older than six months. For collection bring the mailed PIN/PUK codes and old residence document. Ask for the current fee and any urgent-production conditions for your exact card and age. The available checklist contains inconsistent child-fee entries, so confirm the amount directly with the service.
