Offices that exchange foreign driving licences in Poland

Pick the city or county office for your home address

Licence exchange is handled by the transport department of a city office, a county office or, in Warsaw, a district office, and the right one is the office for where you live. Some offices start with a document check before anything else, and the exam rules depend on the licence you hold. Prepare supporting papers such as a photocopy of the licence and your residence document.

Phone the driving-licence team first to confirm what to bring and which rules fit your licence.

Prepare the application, original licence and copy, identity document, recent 35 × 45 mm photo, applicable residence evidence and payment proof at the appropriate stage. An accepted Polish translation is generally required, with an explicit exemption for specified EU-standard licences. For a non-convention document, obtain the required certified translation and follow the theory-exam instructions.
