Offices that exchange foreign driving licences in Poland

Pick the city or county office for your home address

Licence exchange is handled by the transport department of a city office, a county office or, in Warsaw, a district office, and the right one is the office for where you live. Some offices start with a document check before anything else, and the exam rules depend on the licence you hold. Prepare supporting papers such as a photocopy of the licence and your residence document.

    pl. Ofiar Getta 7, Rzeszów

Arrange your visit by phone, since the city does not take electronic applications for this exchange.

Prepare the application, copy of the licence, required certified Polish translation, photograph, identity document, fee receipt and signed privacy form. Specified EU-model licences are exempt from translation. Include medical or psychological evidence if extending validity requires it, and the current residence declaration required from 4 September 2026. Use the current form and print the application double-sided; surrender the foreign original for issuance. Meet the residence conditions and submit the current declaration no later than collection or the planned postal dispatch, where that route is allowed. Some theory-test cases require this by the exam day; confirm which deadline applies with the department.
