Offices that exchange foreign driving licences in Poland

Pick the city or county office for your home address

Licence exchange is handled by the transport department of a city office, a county office or, in Warsaw, a district office, and the right one is the office for where you live. Some offices start with a document check before anything else, and the exam rules depend on the licence you hold. Prepare supporting papers such as a photocopy of the licence and your residence document.

Urząd Miejski w Elblągu — Departament Ewidencji Pojazdów i Kierowców

    Plac Dworcowy 4, 82-300 Elbląg

Apply in the city only if you live in Elbląg itself, because the surrounding county has a separate authority.

Prepare the appropriate KU-72 or KU-71 application, valid original licence and copy, current 35 × 45 mm photograph, identity evidence and the residence/study evidence applicable to you. A certified Polish translation is generally required, with an exception for the EU-format licence. The issue fee is PLN 100; translation and any examination are separate costs. The foreign document must be surrendered for exchange. Print the official form at actual size without scaling, or obtain it at the office.
