Offices that exchange foreign driving licences in Poland

Pick the city or county office for your home address

Licence exchange is handled by the transport department of a city office, a county office or, in Warsaw, a district office, and the right one is the office for where you live. Some offices start with a document check before anything else, and the exam rules depend on the licence you hold. Prepare supporting papers such as a photocopy of the licence and your residence document.

Urząd Miejski w Dąbrowie Górniczej — Referat Uprawnień i Rejestrów

ul. Graniczna 21, 41-300 Dąbrowa Górnicza

Licences outside the road-traffic conventions require a passed theory test, so ask which category yours falls into first.

Prepare the application, identity document, current 35 × 45 mm photograph, licence copy, applicable residence or study evidence and fee receipt. A certified Polish translation is required, except for an EU-format licence. The issue fee is PLN 100; translation, examination and any representation fees are separate. Ask what originals to show and when the old licence must be surrendered. Collection is at desk 9 personally or through the specified authority to collect.
