Offices that exchange foreign driving licences in Poland

Pick the city or county office for your home address

Licence exchange is handled by the transport department of a city office, a county office or, in Warsaw, a district office, and the right one is the office for where you live. Some offices start with a document check before anything else, and the exam rules depend on the licence you hold. Prepare supporting papers such as a photocopy of the licence and your residence document.

This first step is for licences outside the road-traffic conventions, and the profile does not let you drive.

Prepare the driving-licence application, identity document, foreign-licence copy with Polish translation, a 35×45 mm photo taken within six months, medical certificate and applicable Polish residence evidence. The checklist adds psychological evidence for specified heavy-vehicle categories and parental consent for applicable under-18 categories. Confirm your exact document requirements.
