Offices that exchange foreign driving licences in Poland

Pick the city or county office for your home address

Licence exchange is handled by the transport department of a city office, a county office or, in Warsaw, a district office, and the right one is the office for where you live. Some offices start with a document check before anything else, and the exam rules depend on the licence you hold. Prepare supporting papers such as a photocopy of the licence and your residence document.

Say which country issued your licence and in what format before you arrange translations or an exam.

Prepare the double-sided A4 application, identity document, licence copy, compliant colour photograph and payment evidence. A sworn or consular Polish translation is required where applicable; specified EU-format licences are exempt. Foreign applicants also supply the applicable residence-document copy or evidence of at least six months of study. Keep the original licence for the surrender step.
