Offices that take your departure report in Belgium

Go to the municipality where you are registered now

The report is made where you currently live, so the right office depends on your Belgian address. Towns handle it differently: a walk-in counter, an emailed form, an online request or a phone call first. Foreign residents hand in their residence card as part of it.

Rue de Courtrai 63, 7700 Mouscron

Phone the population service to arrange your declaration no later than the day before you leave.

Have identity documents, departure date and your new address or destination details ready for the service to confirm the required evidence. If the whole household moves, national guidance says the household reference person makes the declaration. Ask about proof of deregistration, current fees and any further tax or insurance notifications; a departure-specific document list or fee is not available.
