Your municipality’s foreigners’ desk is where the paperwork begins
Residence cards and permit renewals are dealt with at the foreigners’ desk of the municipality where you live. Offices differ in how they take first contact and which groups they serve, such as students, permit holders and EU citizens. Some assign every appointment themselves after you phone, and some close parts of the week.

Say which card you hold and when it expires when you contact the foreigners service, so they can pick the right process.
Prepare a photo and the documents requested for your renewal. At collection, bring the old residence card or provisional document and PIN/PUK codes. Report a lost or stolen residence document to the local police to obtain an annex 12 certificate.
