Regional service offices, with most help starting online

Iceland’s public employment service works through regional offices of the Directorate of Labour (Vinnumálastofnun). Registration starts online, and you then ask for a counselling meeting through your account. Offices are organised by region, so look for the one that covers your town and confirm any appointment before you travel.
