Where to join a health insurance fund in Belgium

Branches by city, with the days they receive new members

Many branches hold a counter only on certain weekdays, and a few take a summer break or work by appointment. Each branch shows which fund it belongs to, when it receives members and what to ask about the start of your cover.

    CAAMI Alost

    Sint-Jobstraat 196, 9300 Aalst

Come to the monthly counter on the last Tuesday afternoon, not in July or August, and confirm the visit in advance.

Complete and sign the enrolment form and, if changing from another Belgian mutuality as a principal member, the transfer form. Send postal documents to CAAMI (public health insurance fund) Gand, Franklin Rooseveltlaan 91, 9000 Gent, not this branch. For email submission, confirm the receiving office. Ask what identity and insurance-status evidence is required. Ordering blank forms is not enrolment. A transfer generally requires at least one year of membership in your current mutuality; ask CAAMI to check the conditions before choosing a quarter-start date.
